A Twitter user posted some questions to Vitalik Buterin on October 13, reading “Vitalik, let's just say hypothetically speaking that you actually came to the conclusion that PoS isn't feasible and you wanted to give up on ETH 2.0. Would you admit it publicly? How do you think Ethereans would react?” In response, the founder of ETH expressed his willingness to admit it publicly in case that any of the following incidents should occur: “My realization that Plasma can't solve all scaling problems; The various pivots within ETH design; Fundamental issues with on-chain governance.”
